Peru
Mt. Zion has a passion to take the gospel to Peru and we've been doing so for close to 7 years. Through Connect Peru, a ministry of the IMB, Mt. Zion has adopted this unengaged people group high in the Andes Mountains.
The Focus
We are committed to bringing the gospel to the unengaged people groups in Northern Peru.
The Strategy
Our church body organizes multiple mission trips each year with the purpose of reaching these individuals who have limited or no access to the gospel. Our goal is to make 2-4 trips/year to Peru. Mt. Zion partners with local believers, missionaries, and established churches in close proximity to unengaged groups. We connect with a national partner who guides and leads our church planting, evangelism, and discipleship efforts among the unreached.
The Experience
Training will be provided for individuals who wish to participate in a mission trip to Peru.
The Requirements
- Completion of Team Member Application
- Active participation in all sessions of IMB Mission Team Training – Mission Team Training is a seven-part course designed to help church-based teams prepare for short-term mission trips (https://imb.pathwright.com/library/mission-team-training-rev/60792/about/).
- Recruiting Prayer Partners
- Adherence to all MZ mission trip policies as described in the Team Member Application
- A background check along with Child Protection Training is required by the IMB for participation.
